Red Korean Ginseng and Inflammation

I recently stumbled across this article about Red Korean Ginseng and thought I would share it with you all.  It was posted on Yahoo Health, so I am not taking credit for it, but found it interesting.

Excerpt from Original Post by

Jennifer Twardowski

Said to be the most effective ginseng on the market, Korean red ginseng is an extremely popular health remedy in Korea. It is believed to provide a wide-variety of benefits for the mind, body, and soul.
Red ginseng is 100 percent organically grown. It takes 4-6 years to harvest and then a 10-year waiting period is required before the next crop can be planted in order for the soil to have adequate nutrients for the ginseng to survive. Because of this, red ginseng is filled with many vitamins and minerals but is also expensive.
During my time living in Korea, I have noticed that Korean red ginseng extract is sold in every pharmacy and at many supermarkets as a health remedy. There are also many ways to consume ginseng in Korea, such as juices, crackers, tea, and more. In order to answer why red ginseng is such a popular health-craze in Korea, here are the health benefits.
Relieve stress and fatigue. Ginseng works as a natural adaptogen in the body. This allows the body to accommodate to stress in a natural manner. It is also said to work with the nervous system as a natural tranquilizer.
Boost mental efficiency. Ginseng contains many gensenosides that are able to boost efficiency in the brain and reduce mental fatigue.
Boost libido. One of the most widely-known benefits of red ginseng is its effect on the libido. Studies have shown that the nutrients in ginseng increase testosterone levels and allow more blood flow to male organs. Ginseng can also increase estrogen production in women, which may be very beneficial to women during menopause.
Boost immune system. Because of ginseng's high amount of vitamins and minerals, it is believed to strength the body's immunity. It can also work as a natural detoxifier.
Lower blood pressure. Research has shown that consuming a high dosage of ginseng can lower blood pressure. It can also be beneficial to those who suffer from hypertension.
Control blood sugar. Red ginseng reduces cortisol levels in the bloodstream, which helps promote insulin production. This is very beneficial in managing or preventing diabetes.
Treat arthritis. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, red ginseng can be a great natural-alternative to reducing the severity of rheumatoid arthritis.
Promote bodily balance. All ginseng varieties are classified as adaptogens. This is a terminology used for herbs that work to address any imbalances you have in your body. This may include infections, insomnia, stress, digestive issues, and more.
After reading this article I got more curious about this super food and looked for it in many places.  I stumbled upon it in FG Xpress Powerstrips where it is an active ingredient in helping people with Pain and inflammation via a small strip that you stick to your skin.  The adhesive in Powerstrips is water soluble and the strip itself is made from plant material.  I was amazed with the results that I received from sticking this little strip to my skin.
I felt a headache coming on one day and decided to place the strip on the back of my neck just below the hairline.  I was amazed when 15 minutes later the headache has never come to pass, but I had amazing mobility in my neck.  I had never realized just how stiff my neck was until I used the FG Xpress Powerstrip.
Here are videos I found on FG Xpress Powerstrips and their use of Korean Red Ginseng:
